Gîte des Souins

Isolated in the heart of 30 hectares of meadows, vineyards, and woods, at an altitude of 600 m, the Souins farm is only a 10-minute drive from the medieval village of Desaignes and 15 minutes from the town of Lamastre with its shops and two weekly markets.
The farm is an ideal starting point for many hikes.
The cottage has retained the charm of the traditional houses of the Doux valley with its dry stone walls. We have favored natural materials for your comfort and respect for the environment. The interior design gives pride of place to wood and soft-colored plaster.
On the ground floor, the large living area includes a well-equipped kitchen opening onto a cozy living room with a wood stove and benches, and a large farmhouse table for convivial meals. A hallway leads to the separate bathroom and toilet.
Upstairs are the three bedrooms.
Outside, on the east side, a large green space with a garden table, barbecue, and deckchairs allows you to enjoy the first rays of sunshine.
Although adjoining the owners' house, the cottage is completely independent and has its own access and living areas.
Parking is available in the large courtyard that separates the wine cellar from the house.

The vineyard run by Mathias, one of our sons, produces natural wine with the Coteaux Rhodaniens AOP designation and certified organic.

As retired farmers, we still have sheep, horses, chickens, and pigs.
